This fused glass tea light holder is inspired by St Ninian's Isle in Shetland which is connected to the mainland by the largest tombolo in the UK. The colours of the sea, sky, wild flowers and the sand which is incorporated in this piece gives a striking image. It is made by fusing two pieces of glass together using enamels, coloured glass frit and sand to give the colours, image and texture of the piece. The fused glass is then refired in the kiln to slump into the curve shape. Hand made in our studio in Kirkwall Orkney.
The tea light has a hand made pine base with a groove to set the fused glass in, a recessed glass tea light holder and tea light. The product folds flat for delivery and comes in a white organza bag.
