The Ring of Brodgar Large Wave is inspired by the Neolithic stone circle the Ring of Brodgar here in Orkney. Hand made in our studio in Kirkwall Orkney. The combination of ancient stones with the landscape, sky, loch and heather give this piece its colour palette. It is made fusing two pieces of glass together with enamels and coloured frit to give the colour, image and texture of the piece. The fused glass is then fired again in the kiln to slump into the wave shape.
